Rio Bravo Cantina Names 5 Finalists For Big ‘Blow Out’ ATLANTA–Rio Bravo Cantina will hear presentations next week from two Southeast and three Midwest agencies vying for the Tex-Mex chain’s $3-5 million ad account.

Client marketing director Cari Pirello confirmed the five finalists: Austin Kelley Advertising, Atlanta; Henderson Advertising, Greenville, S.C.; Bernstein-Rein and Barkley & Evergreen, both Kansas City, Mo.; and Wyse Advertising, Cleveland.
For presentations the week of July 7, the agencies are expected to “blow out” one of three-plus speculative radio campaigns to include print and local store marketing, according to the client’s request for proposal.
A decision is expected by August.
Rio Bravo, owned by Applebee’s International, Overland Park, Kan., opened 14 restaurants this year for a total of 44. –Katy Eckmann
