Report: Web Ads To Increase

At the Jupiter Online Advertising Forum on Wednesday, Jupiter analysts presented a report that showed online ad spending in the U.S. will rebound and grow to more than $15 billion dollars by 2006. The new report also indicated that other digital marketing spending, i.e. e-mail, online promotions, e-coupons, would eventually exceed advertising, totaling more than $19 billion.

Jupiter’s report emphasized that online publishers need to find ways to diversify their offerings and focus on product and consumer rewards. Despite the fact that online ad spending in the U.S. will increase only 5 percent this year, Jupiter analysts predict that it will rebound and grow at a compound rate of 22 percent over the next five years.
