Blackwood Martin/Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods, the Fayetteville-based office of CJRW, elevated senior vice president and creative director James Gardner to chief operating officer. Gardner joined CJRW, which is headquartered in Little Rock, in 2002. He formerly served as a creative director at Euro RSCG Circle in Seattle.
Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution promoted Cristina Mancini to the new post of executive director of marketing, promotion and publicity. In her new role at the Los Angeles studio, Mancini will be responsible for the publicity group within the marketing department and will oversee and manage the team that implements national publicity and promotion activities for the division’s TV shows. She reports to Michael Bessolo, senior vice president of marketing, promotion and publicity. Previously, Mancini was director of marketing, publicity and promotion.
BBDO in Atlanta added five staffers. Barb McAdoo, formerly with Sonitrol in Atlanta, was named director of learning and development. Jill Spradley, copywriter, is a recent graduate of Creative Circus, also in Atlanta. Former intern Stephen Hunton was hired as account coordinator. Tim Bowes, previously with Accu-Color in Atlanta, was installed as a studio artist. Sagar Shah, formerly employed with crosstown Katz Media Group-Clear Channel Communications, was appointed a proofreader at the agency.
Frankel added Brett Miller as a vice president, account director on McDonald’s. The Chicago-based promotions agency also promoted Nina Monahan to vice president, account director responsible for acquisition, conversion and growth of new business. Miller was most recently vice president of strategy and business development at DraftWorldwide in Chicago. In his new position, he will be on the McDonald’s team responsible for targeting young-adult males. Monahan, a 12-year Frankel veteran, has been on the new-business team working on pitches for accounts such as Diageo, CVS and Whirlpool.
Logan Marketing and Communications named Molly Jahncke public relations director. Prior to joining the New Orleans-based shop, Jahncke worked as public relations senior account executive at Peter A. Mayer Advertising, also in New Orleans. Logan also hired Ellen Brewer as public relations account coordinator. Brewer arrives from Hess Marketing in New Orleans, where she was public relations director. In addition, the shop added Bonnie Roberts and Monchiere Holmes as media planner/buyer and media coordinator, respectively.
Matt Clement joined Rodgers Townsend as a senior project manager in the interactive department. He will manage and organize online programs at the St. Louis agency. He previously served as director of new business development and project management for Lightstream Studio’s emerging-technologies group.
Initiative Media in New York installed Michael Di Clemente and Andrea McAteer as executive vice presidents, group account directors in its client-service department. Di Clemente and McAteer will oversee account management for a number of clients, including Bayer, Nestlé, Pennzoil-Quaker State and Victoria’s Secret. Prior to joining Initiative, Di Clemente was vice president, associate media director of RJ Palmer. He has held senior-management positions with The Lord Group, Lord Dentsu & Partners and Lord, Einstein, O’Neill & Partners, and has worked with consumer products and business-to-business clients. McAteer has worked on brands such as Nabisco, Kraft Foods, AT&T, GlaxoSmithKline and TDWaterhouse. Prior to joining Initiative, she was managing partner, account director at Mediaedge:cia. McAteer also has been executive vice president, director of media services at Foote, Cone & Belding, and held senior media planning and buying positions at Grey, Ogilvy & Mather, BBDO and Tatham, Laird & Kudner. Additionally, Initiative promoted research executive John Mossawir from vice president, associate director to senior vice president, director of strategic development. Mossawir will remain based in New York and will report to Stacey Lynn Koerner, executive vice president, director of global research integration.
Melissa Warlick rose to director of client development at Elberson Senger Shuler. She joined the Charlotte agency as an account supervisor in 2000. Warlick’s résumé includes stops at Wray Ward Laseter, Mercy Hospital and Cedar Spring Hospital, all in Charlotte.
White Good & Co. Advertising in Lancaster hired Jeff Green, 37, as senior art director, e-marketing. Green will be responsible for company and client e-marketing initiatives, including Web design and development and e-promotional programs to trade and consumer audiences, among other duties. The 15-person shop’s clients include Alexander Julian at Home, Borax building products, ECOsurfaces, Homeclick.com and Pacific Pools. Prior to his appointment at White Good, Green was an art director at Scheffey Advertising for two years.
The Buntin Group named Brian Harkness senior vice president of account management. He comes to the Nashville shop from SBC Advertising in Columbus, Ohio, where he was executive vice president. Harkness has more than 10 years of agency experience and has handled accounts such as Domino’s Pizza, Big Lots and Frigidaire Co.
Beth Lerman, former artists representative at Freelance City in Dallas, left the firm to form Lerman and Co. Lerman’s new Dallas agency will specialize in creating corporate-identity packages, strategizing ad campaigns, writing brochures, and creating and producing TV projects.
Hadley Green Creates in Seattle hired Jodi Swanson as an account supervisor heading up the interactive division, Michael Van Schepen as project manager, Diane Christensen as a senior art director/graphic designer, Marc Green as a senior production artist and Dawn Goode as a design and production assistant.
Chuck Sanger joined Brady Marketing Group as a senior account manager. In his new post, he will manage campaigns for several clients and assist with new-business initiatives at the Menomonee Falls agency. Sanger most recently was an account supervisor at Charleston/Orwig Marketing in Hartland.
