ARKANSAS

The Communications Group of Little Rock hired Jonathan Moore as associate creative director. Moore worked at Little Rock’s Sells/Clark in the same capacity prior to joining TCG.



CALIFORNIA

Javier Prelooker joined mOcean as director of new business development, international markets. The majority of Prelooker’s efforts will focus on the expansion of the Venice-based company’s entertainment-marketing services to North, South and Central America, Spain, and Portugal. Prelooker, 40, was previously vice president of client services for Oxide-Global, a branding, production and broadcast-marketing firm.

Warner Strategic Marketing promoted Jimmy Edwards from product manager of Rhino Records to vice president of marketing for WSM. He will now lead the marketing department, and coordinate with other departments including publicity, promotion, new media, sales, TV marketing and WMG advertising, to develop marketing plans and strategies. Edwards, 36, joined the Los Angeles company in 1999.



FLORIDA

Tampa Digital Studios added four staffers. Andy Frey joined the Tampa company as director of information technology services. Previously, he was vice president of development for Wright & Hunter in Birmingham, Ala. Rob Tisler was appointed director of creative services. His résumé includes stops at AFI/Filmworks in Miami, where he was executive producer and account supervisor, and Diamond P Production Group in Clearwater, where he was creative director. Jeff McKown, named director of production services, will oversee infomercial, corporate-video, film and broadcast-commercial shoots. He also worked at Diamond P Production Group, where he was production manager. Ray Mendez, marketing manager, arrived from Momentum Marketing, where he was president.



ILLINOIS

DraftWorldwide hired Kate Caldwell as director of strategic planning. Caldwell, 44, who will focus on direct marketing, reports to Tony Weisman, chief marketing director of the Chi- cago agency, and partner Jim Lucas, senior vice president, director of strategic planning and research. Caldwell has served as senior vice president, director of strategic planning at Vero in Chicago since 2001. As founding strategist for Vero, Caldwell developed brand strategies for clients such as GE Capital Merchant Banking Group, Renessen, YesMail and Kraft Foods. Caldwell also spent four years as senior vice president, strategic planning and research for FCBi, the interactive agency of Foote, Cone & Belding. There, she worked for clients that included the American Dental Association, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Gatorade and Nestlé.

Ambrosi, an integrated marketing-services agency, named Craig Olson vice president, director of account services for its Chicago office. Previously, Olson was vice president, account director for Publicis in Mid America.



MARYLAND

GKV Communications promoted two employees. Dave Broscious was named associate creative director. He joined the Baltimore shop in 1998 as senior copywriter and has worked on accounts such as the Maryland Port Administration, Allfirst and the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Dana Mastromatteo progressed to the position of project manager. She arrived at GKV last year as office manager and media assistant.



MISSOURI

Barkley Evergreen & Partners in Kansas City promoted Jenné Beecher to vice president, director of professional development. Beecher began working with BE&P to create professional development programs. While she is a full-time BE&P partner, Beecher will operate as a consultant.



NEW YORK

Randy Siegel was promoted to associate publisher of Parade. He joined the New York-based magazine in July 2001 as senior vice president of planning and development. In April 2002, Siegel was named executive vice president, a position he will continue to fulfill, overseeing marketing, business development, communications, newspaper relations and interactive media functions. He will continue to report to Jack Griffin, Parade president and publisher.

Bob Costabile joined 30FPS, a production company in Glen Cove, as a director. Costabile, 38, has written and produced numerous award- winning campaigns, including print and TV efforts for clients such as Kodak, Fisher-Price and Nikon. Most recently, Costabile was an art director at Young & Rubicam in New York. He served in the same position at Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos in Boston. Costabile has been a judge for the Clio Awards, the Philly Gold Award and the Art Directors Club of Boston Award.



RHODE ISLAND

Kimberly Ferrante was promoted to senior graphic designer at Graphic Solutions for Business in Warwick. She joined the independent shop four years ago as a graphic designer after a stint at Allied Signal, where she helped design product packaging. She is a graduate of the New England Institute of Technology and Rhode Island College.



SOUTH CAROLINA

Leslie Public Relations named Christopher Wailes senior account manager. In his new position, he will oversee the daily public relations activities for The Cliffs Communities at the Greenville shop. Wailes has more than 13 years of experience. Prior to joining Leslie, he was vice president and media strategist at Weber Shandwick in New York. He also served as associate vice president of public relations at Austin Lawrence Group in Stamford, Conn., where he represented Advent Software, SunGard Data Systems and Neon.



TEXAS

Austin-based Warren Direct hired Vincent Calderon as traffic manager. Calderon formerly served as project manager for Austin agencies GSD&M and TKO. Warren Direct also named Houston Ford an account supervisor. Prior to joining the direct marketing shop, Ford served as director of marketing at KB Home-Austin. In addition, Warren Direct appointed Lucy Moran an account coordinator. Moran most recently worked at Scottsdale, Ariz.-based The Martz Agency.



VERMONT

Chris DaBica joined independent shop Jager Di Paola Kemp in Burlington as a copywriter. He previously did freelance-marketing work, which included writing content for consumer and dealer collateral, such as trade-show booths, catalogs, hangtags and Web sites. He has worked at longtime JDK client Burton Snowboards as a marketing coordinator and is a graduate of Salem State College. In addition, Karen Merriam was hired as production manager at JDK. She had been with Burton Snowboards, where she was production coordinator. She also has worked as a trade-show coordinator at Questech Metals and a marketing communications specialist at Long Distance North and M/A-Com.
