PJA Restructures Account Management

BOSTON PJA said it has restructured its account management department and promoted three staffers to the new position of group account director.

The three are: Amanda Bird, who joined PJA in 2000; Janet Carlisle, who came onboard in 2004; and Chris Fontes, who was added in 2005. All were previously account directors at the independent agency in Cambridge, Mass., and will continue to work with various clients.

Within the new structure, each will have a team of account managers for support.

The move was made to accommodate recent growth, the agency said.

“Chris, Amanda and Janet are each leaders and role models within the account service ranks at PJA, as embodied by the trusted and productive client relationships they have formed,” said Adam Sholley, svp, account services at PJA. “Each is also a significant innovator and driver of successful PJA programs for our clients.”

PJA, which maintains an outpost in San Francisco, has been one of New England’s more robust tech- and b-to-b- focused agencies, adding accounts such as Gene Logic and TAC in recent months. The shop of late is probably best known for its Novell campaigns supporting the software company’s Linux desktop solutions.
