Nuveen Selects 3 Finalists

Investment firm John Nuveen & Co. here will hear final presentations later this month on its $5 million account from three shops: McConnaughy Stein Schmidt Brown and Bender, Browning, Dolby & Sanderson, both Chicago; and Fallon McElligott, Minneapolis. A decision is expected in November, said company representative Peggy Gudenas.
Eliminated were Chicago shops Arian, Lowe & Travis, Cramer-Krasselt, Keroff & Rosenberg, Lighton Coleman, Jack Levy Associates, Mobium Creative Group, Rapp Collins and Rhea & Kaiser. New York agency Straightline International was also cut.
Nuveen split with Publicis & Hal Riney, Chicago, earlier this year. Marketing consultant Lisa Fortini-Campbell has been running the review.
