NFusion Wins NEC Display Assignment

DALLAS NEC Display Solutions of America has hired independent nFusion as its lead agency after a review, the client said.

The Austin, Texas, shop was one of four finalists. The assignment is worth $2 million in annual billings and had previously been handled by Mobium Creative Group in Chicago. NFusion’s work will debut in November.

NEC Display Solutions ranks as one of the world’s largest suppliers of large-screen commercial LCD monitors.

“NFusion was able to gain our confidence in its ability to develop effective ideas for our category while demonstrating a strong understanding of the industry challenges and targets,” said Doug Albregts, vice president of sales and marketing at NEC Display Solutions.

In addition to overall branding support, the shop is tasked with channel development and creating integrated marketing communications across traditional and interactive media.

As a shop specializing in technology, nFusion recently launched the first broadcast campaign for Toshiba America’s new HD-DVD products. Other key clients include Nokia and Nortel.

Headquartered in Itasca, Ill., NEC Display Solutions supplies the consumer, enterprise, professional, medical and digital signage markets.

“NEC is a world-class brand and the display division leads its market in innovation, technology leadership and solution flexibility,” said John Ellet, nFusion CEO.

In June, the client introduced 19-inch NEC MultiSync LCD1990FX and LCD1990FXp monitors for customers in the financial and professional markets.

The MultiSync 90 series of high-end monitors is designed for power users who often use two or more displays simultaneously.

Earlier, the client revamped its sales network under the name ChanneLink+. The program combines previous channel programs into one that gives resellers and system integrators a single portal when selling displays, the company said.
