New Recruit Joins W2 Consortium

BOSTON Partners + Simons today said it has joined the W2 consortium of independent marketing shops.

“We will continue to provide world-class creative and strategy while bringing a richer offering in digital media, measurement and analytics to support today’s marketing challenges,” said agency president and creative chief Tom Simons, in a statement.

Larry Weber, founder of W2 in Waltham, Mass., becomes non-executive chairman of P+S, a Boston-based ad agency with a mix of consumer and business-to-business clients. “Their expertise in paid media will certainly make the W2 Group offering all the more compelling,” Weber said.

Key P+S accounts include Sovereign Bank, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Genzyme, EMC and Horizon Blue Cross.

The other W2 member companies are Racepoint Group, Digital Influence Group and Third Screen Marketing, which respectively offer public relations, online constituency management and mobile phone marketing.
