Robert P. Haasz was promoted from manager of market development to executive marketing director at Video Post & Transfer in Dallas.
Inventiva, San Antonio, welcomed senior art director Tommy Salazar and media coordinator Luz Lesko. Salazar was with Focus Direct in San Antonio as creative and pre-press director, while Lesko was a production secretary at a Pennsylvania-based company.
Parker Cornelius joined Austin’s MC2 Advertising and Design as account director. Cornelius arrives at MC2 from Sabre Corp. in Los Angeles, where he was in charge of sales and marketing. Previously, he was senior account executive with Conklin in San Diego.
Houston shop Fogarty Klein & Partners promoted public relations account manager Bettie DeBruhl to account supervisor, while also moving up assistant account executive Monique Martin to account executive. The agency has enlisted account executive Pam Maxwell, formerly account manager for catering company Houston Gourmet.
The Atkins Agency in San Antonio brought aboard account manager Karen Kolivosky in its public relations department. She will be responsible for strategy and new business development. Kolivosky arrives with six years of public relations and marketing experience, most recently as communications manager with the Fairbanks (Alaska) Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Tenagra Corp., an Internet marketing company in Houston, installed John Silver as director of corporate development.
Silver will pursue new business and seek out alliances and partnerships with other organizations. He previously served as director of Internet marketing and business development at Travelogix, also located in Houston.
S&C Advertising & Public Relations, San Antonio, has signed Bill McClain Jr. as vice president. McClain is a former major general in the U.S. Army and served as its chief of public affairs in Washington, D.C. He was most recently senior vice president of management consulting firm Procorp Associates in San Antonio.
CMG Partners (formerly Carre-o Miranda Inc.), Houston, has promoted account executive Francisco S‡nchez Jr. to director of client services. S‡nchez has been with CMG for the past year. In his new post, he will be responsible for business development activities, particularly the company’s public affairs and political services divisions. In addition, CMG has hired back former employee Raul Ruiz as account executive. Ruiz will spearhead new projects for the company.
Vaughn/Wedeen Creative, Albuquerque, hired Don Cross to assume its newly established post of creative marketing director. Cross will work in the company’s offices in Miami and Albuquerque on new business. He brings 20 years of related experience to the studio.
