NEW YORK Bozell Worldwide, New York, named Kathleen Ruane director of communications. She replaces Kathryn Woods, who moved up to vice president, global communications at True North Communications. Ruane was previously vice president, communications at Young & Rubicam in New York. Kelly Durcan joined Wolf Group Integrated Communications, New York, as vice president of corporate communications. He most recently headed the public relations division at Wolf Group unit Partners & Shevack/Wolf. Design and brand consultancy Lipson Alport Glass & Associates, New York, appointed Helen Sung design manager. She was most recently a senior designer and art director at Gianninoto Associates. O'Leary Clarke & Partners, New York, promoted Vanessa Braccini to account director. Pamela Thomas has joined Media Design, Pleasantville, as director of new business development. She was previously an account executive at Fairfield County Magazine. Alexandra Fitzgerald joined post-production company Broadway Video, New York, as director of business development. Display Technologies, College Point, named Fernando Monfort international managing director. He was most recently vice president for new channels, Europe, at Avon Products. New York production company Napoleon hired Rob Aiello as an editor. He was most recently a senior editor at McCann-Erickson, where he worked on such accounts as Motorola, Gateway, Mastercard, Sprint, L'Oreal, Johnson & Johnson, AT&T, JC Penney and Caterpillar. Hallmark Entertainment Networks has appointed Star Young to the new position of vice president, worldwide advertising sales. She will be based in the company's New York office. Prior to joining Hallmark, Young served as vice president, director of international sales and marketing at The Weather Channel. Joseph Passarella joined the New York-based Multi-Video Group as chief marketing officer and partner. He was formerly senior vice president, marketing and advertising at the United Paramount Network. The Advertising Council, New York, promoted two directors to vice president. Gairy Rahat moved up to vice president, information services and Kenneth Ulmer advanced to vice president, corporate communications. NEW JERSEY Mary Michaels joined the interactive division of Princeton Partners, Princeton, as a project manager. She was previously a project leader at Education Testing Service. Dugan/Farley Communications, Fort Lee, promoted Brynn Cohn to account executive. She was most recently an associate account executive on the Merck Publishing Group account. Carol Yam joined Hollyrock/Miller, Princeton, as an account executive. She was previously director of marketing at Stark & Stark, a law firm in central New Jersey. CommonHealth agency Thomas Ferguson Associates, Parsippany, added four staffers: Robert Zeepvat was appointed as studio manager for the Medesign department from Bruce Leeb and Co. in Midland Park; Tina Kott joined the agency as business manager from Medical Forum in Parsippany; Paula Libbey was named senior copywriter from Torre Lazur Healthcare in Parsippany; and associate editor Lara DeMeo arrived from Research and Education Association in Piscataway. CommonHealth consumer healthcare advertising arm, The Quantum Group, Parsippany, named Steve Reichenstein vice president, account supervisor; he was previously a communications consultant at Merck. Eileen Sandler Reich was also promoted to vice president, creative director from associate creative director. The Sawtooth Group, Woodbridge, added two staffers. John Patterson Jr. was named an account executive working on the Coldwell Banker account; he was formerly an assistant account executive at Dugan Valva Contess in Morristown. Susan Suchcicki was named an account coordinator working on the Homewood Suites business; she was most recently an assistant account executive at Gillespie in Lawrenceville. PENNSYLVANIA Cheri Gmiter, senior vice president, management supervisor at Hallmark/Tassone, Pittsburgh, was appointed to a two-year term as president of the Pittsburgh Advertising Club. She has served on the club's board of directors as vice president of programs for the past two years. Carey Callaghan moved up to account executive at LevLane Advertising in Bala Cynwyd.
