Modem Media Names Technology Chief

BOSTON Modem Media said it has appointed Domenic Costagliola to the newly created position of global director of technology.

Costagliola joins Norwalk, Conn.-based Modem Media from sibling Digitas here, where he had been senior vice president of technology.

“Domenic has not only been instrumental at Digitas in driving that agency’s technology capability, he is also an expert in the delivery of CRM solutions to clients. At Modem, this CRM expertise will be critically important in building marketing engines,” said Martin Reidy, president of Modem Media.

In his four years at Digitas, Costagliola led technology strategy for clients that included General Motors, America Online and Time Warner Cable. Digitas has not named a replacement.

In recent months, Modem Media has appointed several other global capability leadersߞin areas such as media, search engine marketing and strategy—in an effort to bring highly experienced talent to bear on client assignments.

Some key Modem Media clients are AOL, Delta Air Lines, Hewlett-Packard, Heineken, Home Depot, Kraft and Sprint. The shop maintains offices in London, Norwalk and San Francisco.
