McCann’s Tag Division Names Co-GM

NEW YORK Jeff Geisler will join McCann Erickson’s Tag youth marketing division here as svp, co-general manager, effective Nov. 27.

Geisler most recently was a group account director at Bartle Bogle Hegarty’s New York office, where he worked on Unilever’s Axe brand and helped develop its “Gamekillers” campaign. That integrated effort began as a program on MTV and expanded into other media channels.

McCann USA president Brett Gosper said, “Jeff’s success in developing brand communications that are enormously and globally engaging to the savvy young adult market makes him an ideal leader for Tag.”

Geisler, 36, will report to Gosper and partner with co-gm Mark Strong, who joined Tag in April. Strong serves as account director on the shop’s U.S. MasterCard business.

Geisler began his career at Avrett Free Ginsberg, which, like McCann, is owned by Interpublic Group. He has also worked at Cliff Freeman and Partners on Outpost.com and at Lowe on the Sprite business.

McCann established Tag here in 2003 and the specialized practice now maintains offices in Tokyo and Melbourne, Australia. Its key clients include Cadbury Adams, Coca-Cola, Verizon Wireless and Wendy’s. Lori Senecal is Tag’s general manager and also serves as an account director at McCann Worldgroup.
