A Match For Mitch

In response to the October disaster spawned by Hurricane Mitch in Central America, Dieste & Partners has launched relief efforts that will provide funds and emergency supplies to displaced victims.
The Hispanic advertising agency has made its Dallas office available as a local drop-off point for clothing, canned foods, dry goods and blankets bound for Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua. An estimated 9,000 people were killed and millions others left homeless by the hurricane.
In addition, the agency will mail holiday cards marked “Happy $19.99” to clients and others, noting that a donation in that amount was made in the recipient’s name to the American Red Cross’ International Response Fund.
Those wishing to make contributions directly to the American Red Cross can call 1-800-HELP NOW.
The shop hopes it will be able to collect donations totaling more than $20,000.
