Martin Turns On Light for Wal-Mart

NEW YORK Can a lightbulb change the world? That’s the question posed in The Martin Agency’s first work for Wal-Mart. In this spot, Angela shows off her latest purchase, a “funny-looking” lightbulb that can save her $36 in electricity costs. But “the really cool thing,” she adds, is if every Wal-Mart shopper, “all 180 million of us” bought one, “it would be like taking a million cars off the road.” Just like that, she says, with a snap of her fingers. Angela is warm and personable, and challenging the Wal-Mart collective to think about more than the latest deal is a step in the right direction.
