Mangos Wins Cannondale

BOSTON Bicycle maker Cannondale has awarded its ad account to Mangos following a review, the agency said.

Mangos’ first work for the Bethel, Conn.-based client will break next month in cycling enthusiast publications in the U.S., U.K. and Germany.

Billings were not disclosed. The client spent about $500,000 last year in measured media, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus. Mangos is also tasked with handling the client’s collateral, online and in-store marketing efforts.

The independent agency in Philadelphia replaces ZDI of San Francisco, which did not defend. The other contenders in the review were undisclosed.

In a statement, David Budd, U.S. marketing director at Cannondale, said, “Mangos presented unique, smart creative with a clear, compelling strategy. Their passion shined through in the work and really hit home.”

Mangos co-owners Bill and Bradley Gast describe themselves as “veritable cycling junkies” who couldn’t feel more at home with their new client.

Mangos employs 30 staffers. Its other clients include Siemens Medical Solutions and Don Rosen Imports.
