Radio Shack, Fort Worth, Texas, is conducting a review of about a dozen new media shops to handle its interactive media buying. The business, currently handled in-house, includes selling ads to support the Radio Shack site, as well as placing banners for the company on other sites. A decision is expected in mid-September.

Jane, the fashion monthly from editor Jane Pratt, will launch a Web presence as soon as early September. The site is still in development. Fairchild Publications, New York, owns the magazine.
Fresh off its merger last month with music technology provider Silver Island, Imagine Radio, Brisbane, Calif., today will relaunch its Web site. The site will allow users to customize music genres such as country or rock. New technology will no longer require plug-ins. The site is ad- and sponsorship-supported.
Interactive ads for Procter & Gamble’s Bounty paper towels, created by Thinking Media, New York, will launch in late September. The ads will run on women-targeted sites and search engines to reach Bounty’s demographic of moms aged 25 to 54. Jordan, McGrath, Case and Partners, New York, is doing the media planning.
