DMI, Rosemont, Ill., chose Needham over Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco, BBDO Worldwide, New York, and Euro RSCG Tatham, Chicago. DMI parted with Leo Burnett, Chicago, in January. Media buying, formerly at Burnett, moved to TN Media in 1998.

DETROIT-Ford Motor Co.’s Lincoln-Mercury division signed a three-year marketing partnership with Cirque du Soleil and the U.S. portion of its upcoming North American tour, titled “Dralion,” kicking off in September. The circus arts and entertainment show will be paired with the introduction of the new Lincoln LS luxury sport sedan. Wunderman Cato Johnson, Irvine, Calif., will help orchestrate an extensive on-site presence.
