Swome November, medical marketing agency Lehman Millet will vacate its current cramped headquarters on Summer Street in Boston for a posh home on Canal Street. This decision comes on the heels of the company’s reorganization into six distinct business units.
LMI signed a lease for 28,000 square feet, almost double its current space, allowing its business units to occupy separate floors.
The future offices will have a touch of California, said chairman Gerry Millet. He noted such off-beat special effects as garage doors that transform a conference room into two sparate spaces. Boston-based Bergmeyer Associates will do the architectural honors.
‘It was worth waiting for a building like 60 Canal Street,’ said Millet. ‘(It) gives us the opportunity to create a working environment that we expect to be the envy of others in our industry.’
