GMR Marketing Bolsters Divisions

CHICAGO Omnicom Group’s GMR Marketing has hired two executives to strengthen its creative and entertainment services.

The New Berlin, Wis., event and sports marketing company has installed Joe Sutter as vice president of the creative group and Scott Schwebel as vice president of music and entertainment.

“Today clients expect an integrated approach with strategy and one that is highly creative that results in emotional brand building,” said Gary Reynolds, GMR’s chief operating officer.

Sutter’s responsibilities will include directing the creative group in developing a complete and integrated creative resource for clients. Sutter will also direct new business initiatives.

Schwebel will lead entertainment marketing development, including band and tour sponsorships, talent negotiation and the creation and implementation of unique properties.

GMR has created event marketing for companies such as Jim Beam, Kraft, Miller Brewing, Alltel, Dodge and Microsoft. The marketing firm also has offices in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Seattle, Charlotte, N.C., and Canada.
