BOSTON Fuse/Ideas has expanded its relationship with Snip-its, a national franchise that specializes in hair care for children.

There was no review. The independent shop in Somerville, Mass., was tapped based on its previous public relations work for the company.

“They are already very familiar with what Snip-its is all about and what we need from an ad agency,” said client CEO Joanna Meiseles, who lauded the shop’s publicity efforts that culminated in Snip-its being named one of Franchise Times‘ fastest-growing franchises.

The agency will now develop creative concepts for a print-based campaign expected to break in the fall and run through 2008, according to Dennis Franczak, president and CEO of Fuse. Those initiatives will support both local franchises and the brand on a national level.

Snip-its launched in 1995 and now has salon locations in more than 20 states and markets a line of shampoos and related hair-care products for kids. The Natick, Mass.-based company also provides a party production service.

Fuse handles online and offline marketing and has recently worked for clients including Boston.com, Comcast, Disney, McGraw-Hill and Scripps Network, among others.
