EPrize Creates Web Contest for Gap Unit

SAN FRANCISCO Interactive promotions agency ePrize has launched an online holiday sweepstakes for clothier Old Navy, in which visitors to the Web site can register to win $25,000.

The contest began Thursday on Oldnavy.com and will run through Jan. 28, said Josh Linkner, founder and CEO of ePrize.

The site features a “warm-o-meter,” a thermometer-like device that rises, similar to a game at a carnival. Contestants register with their e-mail address, then click four times on gift icons to see if they win. The icons become logos that say “warmer” or “colder,” and the thermometer rises with each warmer logo. A bell signals the end of each game, and contestants leave the site with at least a discount coupon for Old Navy merchandise.

“Everyone is essentially a winner,” Linkner said.

Participants can play once per day, or refer up to five friends to get more chances to win.

In addition to the $25,000 grand prize, the sweepstakes also offers rewards of $1,000, a trip to Hawaii, $500 and $100 Old Navy gift cards and a faux-shearling purse.

Old Navy is a division of Gap Inc. in San Francisco.

EPrize, based in Farmington Hills, Mich., was established in 1999. Its client roster also includes Circuit City, FedEx, J. Crew, adidas and PalmOne.
