Eastwood to Rejoin M&C Saatchi in N.Y.

NEW YORK Matt Eastwood is returning to M&C Saatchi as chairman, executive creative director, effective April 5, the agency confirmed.

Eastwood, 36, has been running the creative department of the independent shop’s London headquarters and will partner with Robert Fletcher, CEO of the New York office. Jeremy Sinclair, 57, one of the founding partners of the original Saatchi & Saatchi agency, is replacing Eastwood in London.

An Australian, Eastwood started at M&C Saatchi eight years ago in Melbourne. He transferred from the New York office to London almost two years ago.

M&C Saatchi opened its New York office in 1995 and has a staff of about 20. Its largest client is British Airways, but it also handles the Financial Times, The Related Companies of New York, Garrard Jewelers, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and The Deal newspaper. The agency also has a small office in Los Angeles.
