DBA Prevails in HAP’s Creative Review

DETROIT Health Alliance Plan has selected Daniel Brian & Associates as its creative agency following a two-month review that began with seven agencies.

The Rochester, Mich., agency has handled creative for HAP’s parent, Henry Ford Health System, for more than 10 years.

“We look forward to forming a strong, long-term partnership with DBA,” said Daryle Johnson, director of advertising and communications at HAP, in a statement. “The agency has the right mix of strategic planning experience and creative capabilities that we were looking for.”

The Detroit-based health insurance company will continue using Harrison Media for media buying. HAP is a nonprofit health plan serving more than 540,000 members and 2,800 employer groups.

DBA bested the Yaffe Group in Southfield, Mich., and Trio Communications in Ferndale, Mich., for the business, estimated at $5-7 million. The company’s previous agency was Perich + Partners in Ann Arbor, Mich,

DBA’s other major clients include Citizen’s Bank, Credit Acceptance and the University of Pennsylvania.
