WASHINGTON James Datri will succeed Wally Snyder as president and CEO of the American Advertising Federation, the organization said today.

He will take over on Nov. 1, following Snyder’s retirement after 15 years leading the trade industry group.

Murray Gaylord, chairman of the AAF board of directors, said in a statement: “The advertising industry is in the midst of the most profound transformation in 50 years, and Jim truly understands the unique challenges for marketers, advertising agencies and the media in today’s landscape.
