BOSTON Schwartz Communications has added Zildjian, the manufacturer of cymbals and drumsticks, for a national public relations campaign.

The independent shop in Waltham, Mass., is tasked with promoting the 2003 American Drummer Achievement Awards and to build some buzz for Zildjian’s 380th anniversary.

The company sponsors the awards every five years. The 2003 ceremony will be held at Boston’s Berklee College of Music. The event will also serve as a tribute to legendary jazz percussionist Tony Williams.
