BOSTON CXO Media said it has promoted Cathy O’Leary Hayes to chief marketing officer, a new position at the company.

O’Leary Hayes, 48, has been with the Framingham, Mass.-based publisher, a unit of International Data Group, for 14 years, where she had a hand in launching numerous titles, including CIO, CMO and CSO, as well as various brand extensions.

She had been the company’s marketing evp.

“O’Leary Hayes’ enhanced title reinforces her significant strategic contributions to the corporate suite,” said CXO chief executive Walter Manninen.
