Creative Duo Exits Vermont Shop To Open Own Low-Cost Agency

Creative director Ken Millman and art director Jon Shenton have left The Hayes Group in Williston, Vt., and set up their own agency, Spike Advertising.
Millman, who was a creative director and copywriter at The Hayes Group for slightly less than a year, recently teamed with Shenton to develop the shop’s TV campaign for Winslow’s Gourmet Coffee.
Matt Hayes, president and chief executive of the 15-person Hayes Group, said both Millman and Shenton have noncompete and nonsolicitation agreements with the shop.
