Continental Cover Boy

American Airlines, long a dominant carrier in the Latin America market, has launched a new Spanish-language in-flight periodical it said will be among the few magazines reaching a pan-Latin audience on two continents.
American Airlines Nexos has been founded with an initial circulation of 205,000, available in the seat-back pockets on flights originating from 33 points in Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Madrid, Spain.
Rick Morrison of American Airlines publishing group said the Spanish- and Portugese-written Nexos will explore “the people, places and passions of the Latin American culture.”
AA has a 63 percent share of the Latin American market and carries more than
13 million passengers a year. It already offers other multi-language services via an in-flight entertainment guide, airport signage and customer assistance phones.
The subject of Nexos’ inaugural cover shouldn’t be too hard for any passenger–in North or South America–to recognize. It’s Chicago Cubs slugger Sammy Sosa.
