Clio Names ’07 Executive Jury Chairs

NEW YORK The Clio Awards named the seven executive jury chairs for its 2007 show.

Andrew Keller, vice president, creative director of Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami and Boulder, Colo., will lead the Content & Contact jury.

John Hegarty, worldwide chairman and creative director of Bartle Bogle Hegarty, London, will chair the Television/Cinema jury.

Craig Davis, global chief creative officer of JWT in London, will chair the Print/Poster/Innovation/Integrated jury.

Mark Gross, senior vp and group creative director at DDB in Chicago, will chair the Radio jury.

Daniel Kleinman, a director at Rattling Stick Productions in London, will head the Television/Cinema Technique jury.

Mauricio Mazzariol, interactive creative director at DDB in Sao Paulo, Brazil, will lead the Interactive jury.

Peet Pienaar, creative director at Daddy Buy Me a Pony in Cape Town, South Africa, will head the Design jury.

“Clio recognizes the best and most innovative work that leads the industry, so it is critical that we utilize jury chairs and members who know the new dynamics of the marketplace and understand how awards judging criteria must evolve in order to remain relevant,” said Ami Brophy, executive director of the Clio Awards.

The Clios, owned and operated by Adweek parent VNU, will present the winners at the 48th annual Clio Festival, May 9-12, 2007, in Miami.

Wieden + Kennedy’s office in London won this year’s Grand Clio in the Television category at the 47th annual show for its Honda campaign featuring three commercials: “Impossible Dream,” “Dreams” and “Choir.” That marked the third year in a row the agency won the top prize in the TV competition for Honda. In 2005, it was recognized for the animated spot “Grrr,” and in 2004 the agency was honored for “Cog.”
