Monty Python alum John Cleese returns as loud-mouthed Scottish golf course architect Ian MacCallister in Arnold’s latest round of commercials touting Titleist’s NXT golf balls.
Two 30-second television spots now breaking nationwide during tournament coverage and other programs find MacCallister ranting against the NXT’s long-distance claims. In “Presentation,” he introduces a new course design that in-cludes outrageous perils, such as a quicksand trap, to increase the game’s difficulty. A sand trap as deep as the Grand Canyon is unveiled in the second spot, “Elevator.”
Cleese debuted as MacCallister in commercials last fall.
