Chemistry Council Seeks Shop For $50 Mil. Account

NEW YORK The American Chemistry Council is searching for an ad agency to handle integrated marketing, sources said. Billings on the account, which includes creative and media duties, are estimated at $50 million.

The Arlington,Va.-based industry trade group distributed an RFP last month that’s due back on Jan. 13, said a source.

Los Angeles search consultancy Bob Wolf Partners/TPG will manage the review. The client referred questions to the consultancy, which could not immediately be reached.

The trade group, one of the oldest in America, changed its name in 2000. It used to be known as the Chemical Manufacturers Association.
