Charleston Cookies Goes to Market With ESS

ATLANTA The Charleston Cookie Co. has chosen Eberson Senger Shuler without a review to develop a national corporate identity campaign, sources said.

The Charlotte, N.C., shop will design print ads, packaging and a Web site for the Charleston, S.C.-based company. ESS has teamed with Hoover Ink Public Relations of Huntersville, N.C., to manage media and online public relations.

Print efforts are scheduled to appear in December issues of Charleston magazine, Food and Wine, In Style, Travel and Leisure and Vanity Fair, sources said. The newly designed corporate Web site will be operational Nov. 1.

The client’s cookies are distributed nationally via Internet sales. CCC chief executive officer Judith Moore claims that the company’s chocolate chip pecan cookie contains a secret ingredient that only she knows. The company officially launches in October, sources said.

Campaign spending was undisclosed.
