NEW YORK Casio, a maker of sports watches and digital cameras, has hired a consultancy to conduct a search for an ad agency, a client representative confirmed. Billings on the account are estimated at $5-10 million.

Roth Associates in New York is managing the process, and the incumbent, rotter-kantor in New York, will be invited to defend, the rep said. The Dover, N.J., client hopes to select an agency by the end of November.
