CHICAGO JWT here has hired Bob Klein as managing director on its $100 million-plus Nestle account, the agency confirmed.

Klein, 49, joins the WPP Group shop from independent agency Cramer-Krasselt in Chicago. At C-K, Klein was a group account director working on new business efforts. Prior to C-K, he spent 20 years at Omnicom Group’s DDB in Chicago.

“Bob has an outstanding track record of generating industry-leading business results for clients across a wide range of categories, including consumer packaged goods, foods, quick-service restaurants, durables and services,” said Ros King, president of JWT Chicago, in a statement.

JWT handles Nestle brands like Toll House, Butterfinger, Edy’s and Stouffer’s Red Box frozen foods at its Chicago office. Nestle spent more than $115 million on those brands last year, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
