Budweiser Enters Dominican Republic

CHICAGO Anheuser-Busch and Santo Domingo distributor Bacardi Dominicana are introducing Budweiser in the Dominican Republic.

“The success of the Budweiser brand continues to show there are opportunities for growth around the globe,” said Bob Kelley, managing director, Caribbean, Anheuser-Busch, in a statement.

The introduction is being supported with radio, television and print advertising and point-of-sale displays from several agencies in the U.S and in the Dominican Republic. Creative details were not immediately available.

Budweiser, which is produced at 12 breweries in the U.S. and nine other locations worldwide, is available in more than 80 countries.

Also this week, the St. Louis brewer predicted continued strong growth in the beer category during a conference call with investors. A-B executives raised the company’s target for earnings per share growth this year to 12-13 percent, reflecting higher expectations for revenue per barrel.
