LOUISVILLE, KY. – Hal Riney & Partners/S.F. is among five contenders named in a short list in the review for the wine division of Brown-Forman here. Others pitching the $5-million ad account: Carmichael Lynch/Minneapolis; Bayer Bess Vanderwarker and Eisaman, Johns & Laws, both of Chicago; and Laughlin & Constable/Milwaukee. The assignment will include Korbel champagne and brandy, Bolla and Fetzer wines. Incumbent: FCB/Leber Katz, N.Y. Finalists will be selected this week. Decision: June.
