Brandon Broadens Its Marketing Portfolio

ATLANTA Brandon Advertising said it has diversified its client base, adding $3 million in new business from the healthcare, financial and aeronautics fields.

The Myrtle Beach, S.C., shop has recently developed public relations and corporate image advertising campaigns for new accounts such as Hooters Air, Chippewa Aerospace, Coastal Grand shopping complex and Crescent Bank, all in Myrtle Beach. Sea Trail Conference Center in Sunset Beach, N.C., and Stokes Regional Eye Center in Florence, S.C., are two additional new clients.

According to agency president Scott Brandon, the shop has been “fortunate in gaining new business in a tough economic environment.” He added that its goal is to demonstrate that “Brandon is not just a resort, travel and real estate agency.”

Hooters Air launched in March, offering daily flights to Myrtle Beach, Atlanta, and Baltimore. In-store promotional materials are currently on display in Myrtle Beach locations, sources said.

Chippewa Aerospace provides contract-engineering services to foreign and domestic aviation companies and business jet owners. The client plans to build market awareness via collateral materials.

Sea Trail Conference Center is a resort located on 2,000 acres. The meeting facility also boasts three golf courses. The shop launched a campaign including print, radio, broadcast, collateral and interactive for the vacation destination this spring.

Coastal Grand is a shopping and entertainment complex with retail and restaurant space that is scheduled to open March 2004, sources said. Agency creatives are currently working on print, radio, broadcast, collateral and interactive to create awareness in local markets.

Florence-based Stokes Regional Eye Center also has locations in Conway, Marion and Lake City, S.C. Brandon is developing a corporate image campaign for the vision care provider that will include print, radio, television, collateral and interactive, sources said.

Crescent Bank offers financial products and services that include mortgage and consumer loans as well as money markets and certificates of deposit. Brandon’s public relations and advertising campaigns for the bank started this summer, with additional work in development.

“Our focus this past year has been to broaden our marketing expertise,” said Brandon.
