CHICAGO Burger King CEO Brad Blum is leaving the company, citing strategic differences with its board, according to a statement released by the fast-food chain.

“While there remains much work to be done, good progress is being achieved and the team is committed to accelerating this growth. I have enjoyed my relationship with the company’s many employees and franchisees and wish to thank them for their support in building the Burger King brand,” said Blum, who joined the company in December 2002 from Darden Restaurants, in a statement.
