NEW YORK Black & Decker has retained its creative incumbent, Interpublic Group’s McCann-Erickson, the client said.
The New York agency has handled creative on the estimated $15 million account since the 1980s. McCann successfully defended the business after presentations this week that included Omnicom Group’s TBWA\Chiat\Day in New York and OutLoud, a small Baltimore boutique, sources said.
The disposition of media planning and buying, handled by Universal McCann, is still being decided, the Towson, Md., client said. It did not disclose which agencies it is considering for those duties.
A McCann representative declined to comment.
