Barkley, Evergreen Lands Paramount Parks Media Duties

CHICAGO – A week after picking up the creative portion of Paramount Parks’ $10-15 million account, Barkley Evergreen & Partners has added media duties.
The Charlotte, N.C.-based amusement park operator picked the agency after a review that included a media buying service that officials at the client declined to name.
Western Initiative Media Worldwide in Los Angeles, Carat Media in Memphis and Empower Media in Cincinnati were the original media buying companies competing for the account.
The Kansas City, Mo., shop landed creative duties on the business by pitching a staffing arrangement in which BE&P will appoint a local brand manager for each of Paramount’s six amusement parks.
