CHICAGO Bally Total Fitness will roll out a new marketing initiative this summer that allows advertisers to post ads inside the company’s nearly 400 health clubs.

The Chicago-based chain has entered into a partnership with Zoom Media, a New York-based media shop, to place and market ads with back-lit signs in various locations inside the fitness clubs. An ad targeting men, for instance could be placed in weight rooms.

“Bally offers a very attractive demographic for high-profile brands and companies who are looking to connect with active consumers in a unique and powerful way,” said Jeff Gooding, Bally’s senior director of marketing and business development, in a statement.
