Arnold, McKinney, Mullen in RHI Finals

CHICAGO Rare Hospitality Inc. has cut to three finalists in the review for its $25 million account, according to the consultant overseeing the process.

Contending for the business are: Havas agencies Arnold in McLean, Va., and McKinney & Silver in Raleigh, N.C., and the Winston-Salem, N.C., office of Interpublic Group agency Mullen, according to Hasan Ramusevic of Winston-Salem consultancy Hasan + Co. Incumbent, Scharbo & Co. in Atlanta is not defending. A decision is expected in mid-July.

The Atlanta-based client spent $8 million on advertising in 2003, according to TNS Media Intelligence/CMR. The company is expected to increase spending to $25 million this year.

RHI owns the Capital Grille, Bugaboo Creek Steak House and Longhorn Steak House restaurant chains.
