NEW YORK Arnell Group said it has named Carlos Arana president, an open position at the branding and design agency based here that is celebrating its 30th year in business and is now fully installed in new digs at 7 World Trade Center.
Arana is the former managing director of Jose Cuervo International who originally partnered with the shop when he worked as Seagram’s Asia-Pacific commercial director. He later hired Arnell to work on the Jose Cuervo brand.
He now becomes the No. 2 manager behind chairman Peter Arnell.
As for the crosstown move, Arnell said: “I have created an environment to inspire and encourage people to grow and align with our philosophy of change, modernity, discovery and innovation — a philosophy that I’ve believed in since I began the business over thirty years ago.”
The open workspace provides 360-degree views from the Statue of Liberty to the Empire State Building, from the Hudson River to the Brooklyn Bridge.
Arnell has worked for companies including Chrysler, Samsung, DKNY, Reebok, PepsiCo, Unilever, Pfizer, Banana Republic, Bank of America and Mars, among others. The agency is a unit of the Omnicom Group. The agency employs about 150 staffers.
