Allstate Offers Caddy in Olympic Promo

CHICAGO As part of its sponsorship of the U.S. Olympic Team, an Allstate Insurance promotion will give people a chance to win a Cadillac car.

“This is the first promotion of its kind for Allstate,” said Lisa Cochrane, vice president of integrated marketing for the Northbrook, Ill., company, in a statement. “We’re bringing the thrill of winning that is so often associated with the U.S. Olympic Team to consumers.”

The promotion, which involves registration at a Web site, www.allstategoUSA.com, will be promoted through television, radio and national print advertising. The ads will break on July 1. Spending was not disclosed.

Allstate’s promotional marketing agency, 141 Worldwide in Chicago, created the print, radio and Web site for the promotion. The insurer’s lead agency, Leo Burnett in Chicago, created a 15-second spot, according to a company representative.

The promotional ads are separate from Allstate’s expected Olympic Games-related advertising. Details of that campaign, from Burnett, have not yet been disclosed.
