McKinlay & Partners in Simsbury has completed work for the 1998 International Basketball Retail Program for Spalding Sports Worldwide in Chicopee, Mass. The agency designed retail packaging, point-of-purchase displays, retail posters, ads, product graphics and sales support materials.
Tanen Advertising of Westport was invited to an international conference in Colorado on public-purpose marketing. Agency creative director Norman Tanen presented a lecture on funding for public-purpose campaigns.
MAINE
Scarborough-based Hannaford Bros.’ 1996 annual report, designed by S.T. Vreeland of Yarmouth, was recognized with bronze and silver awards at the 1997 International ARC awards competition. Nancy Montgomery designed the report.

Radio in the Nude in Boston has been tapped to create radio spots for the Partnership for a Drug-Free America in Washington, D.C. The executions are part of the client’s continuing efforts to curb drug abuse.
Cramer Productions in Norwood has created an ad campaign for Newton-based Technical Aid Corp., a professional contracting service.
Following a review, DRK in Cambridge has been selected by MediaMap as its agency of record. The Cambridge-based client is a public relations software and media information company.
Eymer Design in Boston recently completed development of the 1996 annual report for The Stride Rite Corp., Lexington.
COCO+CO in Boston has been charged with developing a Web site for Simmons Environmental Services in Salisbury. The agency will also develop an interactive edition of the company’s newsletter, Assess & Respond.
Groppi Advertising Design has moved its headquarters from Quincy to Braintree. The company’s electronic media division, GroppiNet, marked its one-year anniversary by announcing several new clients: The American Society for Training, Dean College and Windjammer Promotions.

Church & Main in Keene has been named agency of record for Len-Tex Corp. in North Walpole, a manufacturer of wall coverings, and software developer SoftLanding Systems in Peterborough.
Eastlantic Advertising was honored at the 18th annual Telly awards ceremony. The Manchester agency received a bronze prize in the corporate image category for a commercial created for Conway Office Products of Nashua.
Stal-McLane in Manchester has been named agency of record by Laurier, a Manchester-based manufacturer of die-sorting and die-bonding equipment.
Almus & Lee Communications in Nashua has posted the British Auto/USA Web site (www.britishautousa.com) as part of NH.com’s business sponsors program.
Communication Ink in Bedford received a 1997 American Graphic Design Award for packaging created for Nutfield Brewing Co. of Derry.
RHODE ISLAND
Donnelly & Duncan in East Providence took top honors in the corporate programs/ annual reports category at the Business Marketing Association’s 1997 ACE awards competition. The agency won for an annual report for Browne & Sharpe in North Kingston. The prize was presented to Donnelly & Duncan creative director Steve Ruggieri and Browne & Sharpe copywriter Jack Anderson.
