COLORADOFairport Yachts of Fairport Harbor, Ohio, tapped Workhorse Advertising in Boulder as agency for its two separately marketed divisions, C&C Yachts and Tartan Yachts. Amherst & Reeves in Denver is producing marketing materials for Hep C Connection and Gold Bug Inc. The work includes print and collateral materials, Web site development and PR activities. The Denver Advertising Federation will relocate its office beginning Dec. 1. The new downtown office space (1 Broadway, Suite A300) was selected because of its proximity to DAF members in the area. Karsh & Hagan Communications in Denver was honored with the Giant Screen Theater Association's Silver MAC award. The honor, which recognizes achievement using large-format film, was presented to the agency for its billboard promoting a local museum's Mysteries of Egypt film. The ad was wrapped almost completely in burlap, then unwrapped to reveal the full image.NORTHERN CALIFORNIAShennum Green in Pleasanton was awarded the Whittlestone Products ad account. The agency will launch the newly formed company and its extensive product line for new mothers and babies.Cornyn in San Francisco has won the A.G. Ferrari Foods account and will develop a national and regional print campaign to promote its Web site and retail stores.OREGONObie Media Corp. in Eugene was selected to provide transit advertising services in Tampa, Fla., for a five-year period. Cole & Weber of Portland was selected to launch a new meal replacement bar based on the Atkins diet plan. Plans call for a $5 million national ad campaign that will introduce Atkins Breakfast Bars. The agency is also set to conduct regional media planning in top Atkins markets for all Atkins products for the first half of 2001. The final budget has not been determined. In addition, Cole & Weber was tapped by Handyman Online. Plans call for an estimated $10 million national advertising and direct marketing effort to help promote the consumer contractor referral service. SOUTHERN CALIFORNIAOmnicom sister agencies BGMHealth and FMJ Adcomm are merging to create full-service agency BGM-FMJ Healthcomm in Venice. Las Vegas production house BenchMark Productions opened a Santa Monica office. Maddocks & Co. of Los Angeles, which specializes in branding and packaging strategies, has merged with Sundried Design, which specializes in Internet development and digital design. Two industry trade trade associations have launched a Web site that lays claim to hosting "the largest collection of award-winning broadcast promotions in the world." Promos.tv, which offers a free service as well as a more elaborate paid service, was created by Promax, the international association of promotion and marketing professionals in electronic media, and its sister organization, BDA, which represents broadcast graphic designers.
