Agencies Emerge In Final Rounds For Tourism Jobs

Two tourism groups–Bermuda’s Department of Tourism and the Aruba Tourism Authority–have narrowed reviews for their ad accounts.
Contenders for the $12 million Bermuda job: Arnold Communications in Boston; Eisner & Associates in Baltimore; Hill, Holliday/Altschiller, Grey Advertising and J. Walter Thompson, all in New York, plus two undisclosed shops, sources said. DDB Needham in New York declined to defend.
An Aruba representative confirmed its $7-10 million contest is down to incumbent Fitzgerald & Co. in Atlanta; The Martin Agency in Richmond, Va.; Avanti Plus in Miami; and Grace & Rothschild, New York. Pile & Co. in Boston is handling.
Bermuda executives did not return calls by press time. Decisions in both reviews may come as early as this week. –staff reports
