4 N.Y. Shops to Pitch Hunter Douglas

CHICAGO Four agencies will make presentations in early May in the review for Hunter Douglas’ $7 million advertising account, according to the consultant conducting the process.

Contending for the Upper Saddle River, N.J, company’s account are: MDC Partners’ Kirshenbaum, Bond + Partners; Publicis Groupe’s The Kaplan Thaler Group; independent DiMassimo Brand Advertising; and Cossette Communication’s Cossette Post, all in New York. Minnetonka, Minn., consultant Jan Apple is managing the review.

The shops will make presentations to the window products specialist during the first week of May. A decision is expected shortly thereafter. Ferrell Calvillo, the New York incumbent that held the account for 17 years, did not defend.
