-This Christmas, Icelandair is unveiling a new ad celebrating the true spirit of Iceland. The video is inspired by the true story of a determined Icelandic boy who gets new skates for Christmas. After a big storm, there is snow covering his favorite rink. Undeterred, he gets a shovel and clears the ice so all his friends can skate. Cut to the present and he’s an equally determined Icelandair pilot, using the same gumption to clear snow from his plane’s wheels so he can get travelers home to Iceland.
