-As the only advertising awards show dedicated to music and sound, the AMP Awards would naturally look to musical stars to promote the show. The Association of Music Producers did just that. Created by Johannes Leonardo, two spots are promoting the extended entry deadline for the AMP Awards, coming up March 18. In each video, the artists proclaim to know nothing about the AMP Awards and have to be coaxed into providing information. Alice Cooper argues with his agent offstage and when he finally comes on set, he says “so you’re telling me that an awards show about advertising needs advertising?” In another spot, John Oates hopes for a payday thanks to his appearance.

-Chocolate company Ferrero Group awarded its U.S. media management duties to Dentsu Media agency iProspect at the end of February.
